Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

WC- medical rx

I''ve been on WC for 10yr.,settled in 03, still have ongoing medical. I had a rx changed 30mg to 15mg, doubled the amt, because of a shortageof the med. They approved the 30mg in the past,. How long can they legally keep me waiting for my rx.? It's a pain medication.Should I call the adjusted? I no longer have a Lawyer on my case, he wasn't looking out for my best interest, he just wanted the money. I suffer from a neck injury.

Thanks you,

Marie

Re: WC- medical rx

Have your new lawyer call the adjuster and get the meds equalized with the physician's directions. Never let three years go by without incurring a bill for medical service of any kind you wish to protect; the value of your case may go down precipitously. If you would like to settle the case, have the doc switch your pain meds around so that you don't have to abruptly stop taking meds. If you can't live without pills because of the work injury, then file a Review Petition to test the carrier's bill-paying reluctance and a Penalty Petition to pay your lawyer for so doing.

Good Luck.
