can i lose my job after beening off work for more then 12 weeks on workers comp.

Sound like retaliatory discharge to me. Your employer may have mistakenly confused his obligations under the Family Medical Leave Law with those under the WC Statute. Spend fifty bucks on a consultation with an employment lawyer. Some lawyers will even meet with you for free. Sounds like you may have a case of wrongful discharge.
