Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

workmans comp

I had a workman comp claim in 1994. i was advised not to change employers shouldI have future problems due to this accident. I am being sent to a new facility and will no longer be considered an employee of company claim is under. I will be an employee of the system but not the actual place of accident. Do I need to do anything to protect myself should I have problems in the future relating to injuries received andwould the original company still be responsible. The transfer is not by my choice, the work I do will no longer be done at my work location and is being sent to another enity, technically I will have a new employer although both employers fall under the same parent company.

Re: workmans comp

It is probably still the same insurance carrier but I don't know if that makes any difference. If you haven't received any compensation or had any medical treatment for the claim for the past three years if you are re-injured you will have to open a new claim anyway.
