Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Philippines
Good morning! My nephew got registered with NSO as female. His Birth record is badly needed for his SSS membership registration. Please advise us, as to what we should do to correct his record of birth. Would it still be ok for the meantime, if we submit his birth record as it is...bearing a female gender instead of male?
Thank you so much and God bless!

This need an adversarial proceedings as this is not a mere clerical error. A petition for correction or cancellation of entry in the Certificate of Live Birth can be done on this. The Local Civil Registrar where the birth record was registered will be a party respondent.
