Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Philippines
Greetings!!!
I just want to ask a question regarding on applying a K1 Visa. I have a clerical error on my Birth certificate. When I'm about to apply for correcting the clerical error of my birth certificate, they will gonna required me the birth certificate of my mother as a supporting documents. When my mother get her birth certificate to the NSO, it stated there that she wasn't registered yet and that she needs to apply for a late registration plus it takes 6 months for me to wait until my Birth certicate is fix. My question is, can i apply the k1 visa now and just submit my birth certificate with a clerical error on it and just attach it with a certificate of discrepancy?please i do need an advice. Thank you in advance.

You can inform the USCIS that the person appearing on the certificate of live birth with erroneous entry on the said certificate is the same person applying for a K-1 Visa.An affidavit of two disinterested persons may perhaps help.
