Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Philippines
my husband is working in dammam saudi arabia and he admitted to me that he has another woman. by now he already decided to separate w/ me and he said he will support only our 2children ages 12 and 13 knowing that we are rented a house and i dont have a job. is it right that he can just decided like that to think that he commited immorality? since he is in abroad and we are in our country in philippines, maybe even he send or not a support for the children there's nothing i can do because he's out of the country. but when he go abroad he falsified his passport because he didnt finish high school he has no credentials to submit to the agency so he used the name of his older brother. is it possible that he maybe deported incase i report him to the department of foreign affairs? and what case i can file against him for what he did to me i suffered mentally torture..pls give me an advice what i can do atty? thank you.

If things cannot be settlted amicably then you have the option to file criminal cases against your husband. The first is for violation of the passport law and the second is for violation of RA 9262 (Violence Against Women and their Children). The violence being referred by the said law can be economic and psychological. When your husband failed to give you some support he committed economic violence while his immoral act (his involvement with another woman causing him to abandon you and children) can be classisifed as psychological violence.
