Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Philippines
i am married to a seafarer and we have a child, weve been separated now for a yr recently he told me that he will not give me the same allotment since wala na daw kami, he will give daw full financial support to our son but i have to work for my own money na daw. He said we can have a settlement with the lawyer but i don't have a lawyer. Next month he will be leaving for work again and i am not guaranteed of how much allotment i will receive. he also said that he will file a case and he will pay for everything and he will sue himself..and i am confused and stressed i don't know what to do, pls advise. Thanks

You can sue him for violation of RA 9262. The failure to give support amounts to economic violence. Or you can initiate an administrative case before the POEA against him.
