Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Philippines
hi, i am a married woman to an army man...we've been married in 2 years now ahead...but until this time my daughter and me are still here in the Philippines..as what my husband told me that he send his application for petition in st.loius immigration in Missouri...but until such time, this year, he decided to divorce me and the reason is on our misunderstanding...i know its still a verbal decision but he is willing to divorce me...to think of it we are married here in the Philippines and we have no divorce here but it will take an annulment process..i asked him to annul me here in the Philippines, but he told me that he will not spend money to pay for the annulment here becoz as what he said it is expensive..i really to have a legal assistance but i have no money to pay for the attorney..i just wanna ask if i have the right to about his benefits if ever he did not registered me as his wife in the army? becoz i didnt know about his benefits becoz he did nto atell about it..he hde it all these things from me...please help...

Send a letter to the US Army and inquire what benefits you and your children can enjoy being married to an American US Army. For sure the US government will reply to your query. From there you would know what to do next.
