Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Philippines

Is credit card debt liable for imprisonment?

A relative of mine has a credit card debt. She was paying it before but she is unemployed now and has no means of resources. Her kids are giving her money sometimes but is not enough to pay it. She was hoping that the interest would be removed so that she can pay the actual amount of debt, but the bank won't agree. Now they are harrassing her but still there is no way that she could pay them in full with interest. Can she be imprisoned for this? I am not sure if she got her credit card back in 1998. Not sure if the year would have any relevance in the law that is exsisting (if there is ever one) regarding it now. I don't know where to start researching so I hope you could educate me on this one.
