Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Philippines
Is there any criminal liability in the Philippines for loans done in another country (i.e. UAE, Saudi Arabia)? Would that change if the loan has been bought by a collections agency running in the Philippines?

We follow the principle of territoriality.This means only those crimes committed in the Philippines can be prosecuted and punished in the Philippines. Its a simple loan, a civil case.
