Legal Question in Criminal Law in Philippines
Just at the start of the year 2013, on January 1st, the akyat bahay broke in and stole from my home a lot of valuables to a cost more or less P100,000. This was documented on a Police Blotter. Considering, the properties lost and danger to our lives, I installed live wires at the top, inside portion to our 8- feet fence, which I only switch on during the night.
If again, those akyat bahay broke in and got electrocuted, am I criminally liable still, to see it that livewires are installed within the premises?

There is a gray issue here if your act amounts to defense of your property. Its possible that you can be held liable here since no attack against your person unless there is an imminent and actual danger to you and your property due to unlawful usurpation. But just the same you can use reasonable means to prevent or repel the usurpation of your property.
