Legal Question in Criminal Law in Philippines

i own a titled lot under my name. our caretaker notice 5 trees were lost including 1 narra, 1 apitong and 3 miscellanoeus trees.last march 30, 2012 MR. A was caught in the act cutting another five miscellanoeus/fruit trees. a total of 10 trees in all were cutted and stolen. In the brgy hearing he said, he was just orderd by MR. B to cut these trees and MR b admitted it too. during the 2nd brgy hearing, MR C appeared admitting that he was the one who cut the narra only.

Atty, who is really be the one liable to be filed with case?what case should we need to file?we have just been endorsed to the police station. the police officer wants amicable settlement. can I asked for damages? such as transpostation expense and salary refund due to my absence in my work. and about the prices of the trees cutted and stolen?
