Legal Question in Family Law in Philippines

As you have said atty.that if my husband is not US citizen then the divorce is not valid in the philippines.but how about his marriage in the US?is it valid?i just want to ask if that divorce paper can be a proof to file an annulment since that i want also to file an annulment?im here in macau now as an Ofw.i want to ask how much and how long it will take if i will file an annulment.thank you again...

His marriage in the US may be valid only in so far as the US law and/or US government are concerned. But not here in the Philippines. The divorce paper is not a proof of the ground/s for annulment. It can be a proof that your husband has abandoned you and obtained a divorce in order to get married in the US. The ground is psychological incapacity of the parties under Art. 36 of the Family Code.
