Legal Question in Family Law in Philippines
child custody
i recently broke up with a boyfriend of 2yrs. we have a child. we're not married and i decided to break it off because he can not provide for the child, he has no work and i found out that he's been cheating on me.
what do you suggest i do? are there any grounds to suspend child custody with him? he's been telling me death threats.

Re: child custody
you are entitled to the custody of the child. Philippine law grants custody of the minor child below 7 years old to the mother. As to the death threat, you can sue him for violation of criminal law (women and child abuse law) and even ask the court for a temporary protective order so that he cannot go near you. Thanks
