Legal Question in Family Law in Philippines

i have a girlfriend who has a son.. the father of her son did not accept the boy as hes son.. now the father of the boy and my girlfriend has not seeing and dont have any communication for 3 to 4 years now.. so i decided to adopt her son.. since the birth certificate of her son is late registered.. now her son is using my surname.. is there any violation to what i did??

answer: Yes, what you did is a falsification of public document by way of making yourself to appear as the putative father of the child. That is not the way to adopt the child.Adoption should be through court proceedings.

Since its a criminal offense then the punishment is imprisonment. What you can do is to have the entries appearing in the Certificate of Live Birth should be cancelled or corrected by way of filing a petition in court represented by counsel of your own choice.

I really really appreciate your effort of answering all my question sir and i really wanna say thank you for that sir. but i'm so sorry to say sir that i dont exactly got whatt you are saying.. so i decided to ask again..

is there anyway to get away whit it or to resolve it?? and if i'll try to resolve it would i be still liable for imprisonment? and would be also the mother of the child and the witness who sign the papers of the child's birth certificate will also be liable for imprisonment? and last sir .. do you have any idea how much will it cost to adopt her son?? thank you very much sir...
