Legal Question in Family Law in Philippines
I married a filipina in the U.S. ten years ago, we came back to the P.I., two (2) years ago and purchased a house and lot in both our names. On our return to the states, we got a divorce and she wanted the house in the P.I. which the U.S. court granted her. My question is: does the Philippine courts recognize U.S. court decisions or is the property still half mine (con-journal) according to the Philippine courts.

There are two separate issues here.
1 - A divorce obtained overseas is not automatically recognized in the Philippines.
Depending on who filed for the divorce your wife may file a petition for recognition of foreign divorce or recognition of foreign judgment in the Philippines, but i don't which or any would apply as I don't know the details of your case.
2 - Foreigners may not own land legally in their name. Yes, the property would be conjugal property. Now all rests on your wife obtaining the recognition of the divorce or not. If not, you may file a petition for annulment of marriage which will include the separation of conjugal property.
