Legal Question in Family Law in Philippines

When I got married in 2008, my parents refused to sign the marriage contract. Until now, I cannot get it from the municipal office because of my parent's signature. Should we just apply for another marriage license since I am already 26 now and my husband is 25?

Your parents signature is not required in the Certificate of Marriage. I don't see any reason why you cannot secure a copy thereof. Why would you secure a marriage license? The Certificate of Marriage and Marriage License are different documents. Certificate of Marriage is a proof that a marriage was solemnized and the latter refers on your license to marry within 120 days from issuance thereof. The absence of the latter renders the marriage void.
