Legal Question in Family Law in Philippines

Is there a strong case of concubinage?

Hi Attorney, my wife and I are separated, I give my monthly support to my child. However, my wife wants more than the amount that I can offer. Now she filed a case of concubinage with her accusation that I dwell with another woman in a conjugal place.

I have someone with me now but not that intimate, we are not renting any place nor stay in any common place, though there are just times that I stay at their mother's house (but not regularly). We do not have any love child.

Honestly what I feel is this she is just mere pressuring for me to give more of my financial support now. Please advise me on how strong her case of concubinage against me is. Thank you and God Bless!

Re: Is there a strong case of concubinage?

Concubinage is committed by way of maintaining a mistress in a conjugal dwelling or having sexual intercourse in a scandalous manner. If she can prove any of those circumstances then she has a case for concibinage. The defense for concubinage is condination such as when your wife cohabited with you or ahd sex with you after knowing your act.

Good luck to your legal battle.
