Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Philippines
I am a Filipino, residing in the Philippines and I was hired to work online with an American last May 2012 and we don't have any contract since then.
And right now, because I am always vanishing with some personal reasons and I don't want to work anymore with him.
He said that he wanted to litigate me because I wasn't able to finish a project that at first, I was hired to work on that project. The project was
already delayed, in which for some there were reasons that the project was delayed and it was because on their side and not in my side. I was paid for
the month of May, June and July and I worked for him til' September. I paid him back the July 2012 payment that he gave me because of the reason that
the project was delayed already.
And right now, I don't communicate with him anymore because I feel stressed everytime I think of him but he is saying that he will be suing me because
he spent almost USD10000.00 already. To be honest, i don't know that he spent that. He only has given me USD3000.00 for May, June and July. However, i returned
already to him the July 2012 payment.
Everything took place online and we just communicate via emails or skype.
Is it possible for him to sue me since he is a foreigner. He said that he will sue me through his representative in the Philippines. Will it be
possible, and where he will gonna sue me?
Thank you very much for the legal help and advice.

If there is no specific terms in writing then how can he proved that you breached the agreement. He can sue you but it will cost him that much. Just wait for it and you can just engage a counsel to handle this matter.
