Legal Question in Immigration Law in Philippines
my father was a american citizen due to naturalization, i was born after that so in my birth certificate it is written that he is american, when i was a kid they bring me in us embassy when i was 2yrs old, the consul said that im too young just wait until i reach the age of 18yrs old and it is automatic to become us citizen that is what they said, so my father followed what they advice, suddenly he passed away after 1 yr. then when i turned to 18yrs old me and my mom came back to us embassy but they denied me because they said the family code was changed, by the way sir my mom and my dad are not married we are 2nd family but in my birth certificate he accepted us as his son and daughter. i hope you can help me sir. thank you
