what is misappropriation of funds? does the use of the company's sales to pay for the medical expenses of the victim hit by our company driver considered misappropriation of funds? we promised the victim that we will shoulder all her medical expenses related to the accident. the victim felt satisfied with our assistance, thus, she will not press charges anymore which was written down in her notarized statement. it was used without authority but used solely for the payment of the medical bills of the victim of the accident. does this entail termination? would it be best to resign instead before being given any saction by the employer?

Misappropriation means converting the funds for personal use.Yes, this will entail termination after due process.Your employer can still file a criminal case for estafa or qualified theft even if you choose to resign.
