Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Philippines
Good day! I am leasing a lot for 10 years now, during my 5th year of lease, I had constructed a commercial structure on the lot. Now that my contract is ending, the lessor is squeezing my neck, in short he wants me out right away for him to own the building. Can I sue him for a civil case? I haven't gotten back my investment yet from the commercial structure. Or automatically the building will go to the lot owner? Thanks in advance

Since the contract is ending you may be at the losing end here unless you have an agreement regarding on how you can recover your investment in relation to the lease. The building does not belong to the lessor unless it was your agreement that upon expiration of the lease the building's ownership will transfer to him.
