Legal Question in Personal Injury in Philippines

is there any legal recouse for an american that had a filipina fiance in the philippines to recover some of the money he spent on her after they split up. there is property and other assets which are all in her name. there was approximately 80,000.00 US dollars spent on her during the entire relationship. she now has broke off the engagement and will not reinburse any funds back to the man.she refuses to give any money back. even his personal items that he had there. is there anything that can be done.
