Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Philippines
Divorced husband in Manila has 3 wills; one bequeaths some real estate and other assets to common-law wife. A second will bequeaths a condo apartment to one son; third will bequeaths another condo unit to another son. Both sons have been estranged from the father for many years; are adults, are U.S. citizens and reside in the U.S.
Are all 3 wills valid? Or does the existence of 3 wills invalidate all 3 and the testator dies intestate? If so, who are his legal heirs?

If the divorced has not duly recognized in the Philippines then the relationship is illicit. In that case, the common law wife cannot inherit as she is disqualified under the law. On the other hand, if the two wills are inconsistent the third will prevails.
