Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Philippines
Is it possible for a legitimate heir/s to waive their right to an inheritance of real property and be absolved of all accruals of property taxes. Can they assign another individual (also a legitimate heir) to be the sole inheritor of the property, even if a will by the Testator states that proceeds from the sale of properties owned by the testator shall be equally distributed among the three heirs (legitimate children). This assumes, of course, that in the case of 3 legitimate heirs to a property, all three agree that only one of them shall be the sole heir.

yes, the legitimate heirs may waive their inheritance in favor of another heir. The heir who wishes to waive his/her right must execute a waiver of rights in favor of another heir.
