Legal Question in Immigration Law in Poland

K3visa

Im an American citizen living in Poland on temperary status. Im now married to my polish wife and want to go back to US with her. I know I need to petition for her alien resedence before I can apply for her green card right? But I read while the petition is waiting I can file for her k3visa to get her to the US. I read it could take up to 2 years to get her alian residence in the US. How long does this take and what more details did I leave out?

Re: K3visa

Applying for a green card in the US for a spouse is generally taking less than a year, but that is if you and your spouse are living in the US. You may want to consider filing the K-3 visa for her. The processing time for that petition will depend on the wait times at the Polish consulate. You may want to speak with an attorney to discuss the pros and cons of filing a K-3, to get a better understanding of the entire process and the processing times from someone with experience with these types of applications.
