Buying a Stake of a Corporation Registerd in Puerto Rico
1. A new corporation that was just recently registered in Puerto Rico. Are there any restrictions for this company of buying 50% of the shares of another existing private corporation that is registered in Puerto Rico in the same line of business?
2. If some of the shareholders of this newly registered corporation in Puerto Rico are residents of the USA and not residents of Puerto Rico, are there any restrictions for buying 50% of the shares of this other Puerto Rican corporation?
3. Are there any restrictions for buying 50% of the shares of this other Puerto Rican corporation by a corporation registered in one of the states in the USA?

First of all, Puerto Rico is part of the United States and I know of no restrictions that apply to corporate aquisitions in Puerto Rico. All U.S. federal laws apply in Puerto Rico.
