Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Puerto Rico

Inappropriate touching of children by a military grocery store employee

We live overseas, on a US military base. Isolated. My children were inappropriately touched by an employee of the military commisary on our base while we were grocery shopping. What legal rights do we have?

Your rights may arise from the FTCA, the tort actions of the state or country in which you are, and any number of laws and regulations that are applicable to military installations. Depending on when this occurred and if you engaged in an administrative claim with the Armed Forces you may have a tort action against the Base; the owner of the store, if a concession; and the employee. However, you should retain legal counsel expeditiously because limitations on actions of this sort run swiftly.
