Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Puerto Rico

House Renting...

I'm living in the States and I want to rent a house that I have in Puerto Rico and I'm wondering if I'm able to make an arrangement of that money to be direct deposited to my bank account?

If not, can I put my P.O. Box address instead to receive the rent money?

I really need help!

Thanks,

B

Re: House Renting...

The safest would be a direct deposit agreement with tenants so that automatic payment is made into your bank.

You should ALSO get at least 1 months rent as a SECURITY DEPOSIT.

In addition, since it is out of the US, you should get THEIR banking, employment and prio LL references before turning over your property to them, AND an Ironclad LEASE agreement.

Call or email for help.

I have been a Landlord for 25 years.
