Re: accused of sexual harrsment

The federal law as to sexual harassment applies to Puerto Rico. If a business has over 15 employees, its supervisors must comply with the law.

In addition, Puerto Rico law provides for no minimum in the number of employees. Puerto Rico law also puts the burden of proof on the employer to prove that the harassment did not occur.

You can contact me about representation. If I do not have a conflict of interest, I believe the case has merit, and I have the time available, I would take the case.

Sincerely yours,

Jane Becker Whitaker

Re: accused of sexual harrsment

Please provide additional facts. The rights of the alleged harasser are not defined by local law. Rather, you have a right not to be discharged for conduct which does not constitute just cause.
