Legal Question in Business Law in Rhode Island
Can I write a contract with a client that is pursuant to laws in a state other than mine? They want the contract to be bound to the law of their state instead of where my office exists.

As a Franchise Attorney I can say the answer is yes, that's entirely possible. But, you should run everything through an attorney as there are other important issues to consider - like jurisdiction (where any disputes takes place) and attorneys fees. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney for specific advice.
