Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Rhode Island

Good Day, Last night a local news station in Rhode Island aired a story about unemployment fraud specifically about a man who was claiming benefits using his dead girlfriends name/info. To my shock they aired the story and my picture. I immediately called them and requested they remove my picture and correct the situation and I was advised they confirmed and verified all the information and the picture was that of the person that committed the crime. Along with the story they also had my pictured plastered on their website until about 9pm last night. This is almost 3 hours after i informed them they had the wrong persons picture up and requested they fix the problem. I can't begin to explained the embarrassment and anxiety i've felt since this story broke. Do I have I case against them?

If it erroneously showed your photo, then you may very well indeed have a case against them, but you would need to meet with a seasoned lawyer to discuss all the facts and circumstances, and review the harm that has come to you from this newscast.
