Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Rhode Island
my son was working on (his) car with his friend in his friends yard.my son was put in jail.my son was in 3weeks when the friend decided to sell my sons car and the very expensive parts that were with it.the car is a souped up camaro.we told the friend if he had any problems with the car being on his property, we would have it towed to our property an said ok he would let us no.my daughter went by to tell him the car was going to be brought to her home and found out the car and parts were sold and scrapped,,. is this legal the car was not this friends car to sell.i think we are gonna need an attorneys help with this 1 but not sure what to do.

It sounds as if you may have a case, but an attorney would need to know more details about the arrangement. Also, it is important to know who had title to the vehicle and what understanding the friends had about the improvements made to the car. It may be possible to recover money from the friend if he sold the car without permission.
