Crinminal case Felony

I was charge with a B&E and assult with a knife a wepon I actually was in my home next door from the victim. I wa s buttering a muffin and I had a knife in hand my neighbor was about to cause some trouble and she tried to force me to give her some information if someone was talking about her I would not I told her I dont gossip she told me she was going to call the apparment manager so Ive had too manny infractions and one more could have gotten me evicted. so she was rushing toward her phone I followed her pleading with her . I took two steps and she attacked me in her home and I didnt realise I still had the knife in hand it dropped to the floor. and we both stood up and I did slap her but she picks up the knife off the ground and said she was going to use it so she rushes to the phone calls police saying help help she has a knife come please and Iam all the while in the background still pleading why are you doing this the fact is she lied to police and being she touched the knife was that a mistake on her part?? because I herd you cannot touch the weapon the police have to be notified. and what are my chances of getting out of this at least no jail time or lesonning the charge ?
