Legal Question in Criminal Law in Rhode Island

Shoplifting

I got arrested for shoplifting in Kmart the total was $21.73 there policy is 20.00 or over they can prosecute. I was also with two minors 15yr old girls. One was my next door neighbor and my boyfriends daughter. They were also arrested for shoplifting. This is my first offense. Do I really need a lawyer?

Yes, you should retain a rhode Island criminal law lawyer/ attorney. If you cannot afford a lawyer you can apply for the public defender. You are not aware how the Court system words and your rights. You do not want to end up with a criminal record.
