Child support
Does a father have to continue child support payments when the child reaches 18? She is in college 1st year. But this was never written in the divorce settlement.

Re: Child support
Child Support must continue to be paid by the existing court order until it is modified or terminated by the family court in Rhode Island.
Child support does not terminate on its own. The father must file a Motion to Terminate Child Support due to the emancipation of the minor child in accordance with Rhode Island Domestic Relations Law.
