Legal Question in Family Law in Rhode Island

My daughter is two years old. her father, the person who signed the birth certificate has past away. A guy that I was with one time is now threatening to take me to court for a DNA test because he believes he is the father. I strongly believe he is not because we used protection. Is there any way I can refuse that my daughter gets tested?
