Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Rhode Island

renter question

I rent a house in RI. My question is: who is responsible for the mowing of the lawn and all the upkeep for the landscaping? I have been doing it myself now for 5 years but can't any longer due to illness. I don't get a rent deduction for doing this. He feels, I guess, It's my responsibility. Is it?

Not unless it's in the lease. Do you have a written lease?

I have been a LL for 26 years and I always put a written provision in concerning lawn mowing and snow/ice removal.
