malpractice?

my husband was in the navy and was tx for alcholism a few time. however we have since found out the drinking was a sympton of bipolar d/o. any chance of getting benefits for this

It depends on what type of discharge he received. If he received a bad discharge, it may deprive him of his VA benefits. If he is eligible for VA benefits, you would have to show that the bi-polar existed at the time he was on active duty. We might be able to change the nature of his discharge and/or get benefits for him.
