Legal Question in Personal Injury in Rhode Island

I have a scar from a burn which occurred at work. My scar is dark approx 2 inches long, half inch wide and its been about 6 months since the date I was injured. My employers insurance co' told me they would like to see my scar at 6 months and they will measure and calculate an offer to settle. How will I know what is a fair offer if I don't have an attny? However, at the same time, to get an attorney may not be the best plan as the settlement itself is so minute it would not make sense to have an attorney take a piece of this small settlement.

Of course I am not even certain what I am facing... A grand..two grand?? I just don't know, what is reasonable? If I did get an attny would my employers insurance co. pay the attny fees and perhaps my settlement would not be divided? Please advise...

You should retain a Rhode Island (RI)Workers Compensation Law Attorney. At a minimum you should speak to an attorney to determine what your options are and whether you would like to hire a lawyer.
