Legal Question in Personal Injury in Rhode Island
Hello, I really need some help figuring out what to do with this case as I cannot afford the medical bills.
While in a cross walk struck by a rental car that had just gotten a green light (luckily right in front of several police). Basically its pretty clear who was at fault. The problem is that my lawyer recently dropped my case because the person who struck me has no money, there was no insurance on the vehicle (grandmother declined insurance and apparently the grandson had no car insurance).
The accident happened on 05/08/09 (so I believe I need to have this settled by 5/8/12).
The accident happened in RI. The car was rented in MA. And I believe the grandson is a FL resident.
Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Email communication does not constitute, and an email inquiry does not create, any attorney-client relationship. As you would expect, in the event that you wish to seek our services, we would need to do a review of our records to determine whether representing you would create a conflict with an existing client, and otherwise determine whether your matter is one we wish to undertake. We also would need to agree on compensation.
Accordingly, since no communication by e-mail shall be considered to create an attorney-client relationship, you should not send any confidential information to us unless and until an attorney-client relationship is established. Information sent before an attorney-client relationship is established may be determined not to be confidential. Also, we are unable to guarantee the security of email communications generally, though we are not aware of any security breaches to date.
