my boyfriend is buying a house an i signed all the papers an also signed my sons name on them to..is that legal in rhode island..my son never knew i signed his name an my boyfriend was never present when i signed his..my boyfriend is selling his house an has my sons name on the title, so to sell it an buy another both my boyfriends name an sons name needed to be signed

I am having trouble believing that this is a real question. However the short answer is YES it is absolutely illegal to sign someone else�s name to any document. That fact that you admit that your son was not aware that you were singing his name makes a prima facie case for forgery which is a crime in the State of Rhode Island
