Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Rhode Island
My name is Mathew and a few years ago my father started a savings account for me and my brother. Every friday we would go and put money into the account. I am not sure if the account is under one of our names or my father's name. But there was a bank book that he kept. In September of 2010 my dad found out he had cancer. He died in December 2010. But he did not leave a will. So, I did not get anything that belonged to my father, not even the savings account. My grandparents (dad's parents) took everything and will not give us any information about the bank account. Even though he did not leave a will are we still entitled to that account and other belongings of my father?
