Legal Question in Family Law in Russian Federation

divorce laws
I just have a question about divorce and what the law is for somebody that is a russian citizen but lives in America.Do you have to go through the Russian law system or is divorce possible in America? How do you go about getting a divorce in these circumstances?

If you or your spouse reside in Washington, you can obtain a divorce here. Russia may or may not choose to enforce the divorce decree in Russia.
