Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Saudi Arabia

Denial of .AE DOMAIN (U.A.E)

i submited a cTLD dot AE for United Arab Emirates trough a third party registry. The name is availuble for registration, the sent an email to my register asking why i want the domain and my relationship to the domain.

The rules for the registering were changed to -No restrictions to anybody world wide-they have stated that some ''parties'' are in the process of registering this domain.I want to launch an infomation site with this domain

in about a years time frame.

I have not replied to them yet i can fore see the denial(interested parties)

I am almost sure that their is no registered trademark for this domain-What are my options?

Re: Denial of .AE DOMAIN (U.A.E)

Domain registrations are generally first-come, first served. If someone else reserved it and is in the process of registering it, they were there first and they get it. If you have a trademark, you could institute a UDRP complaint, but without that, your only option is to see if they do not in fact follow through with the registration, or find another domain name.
