Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina
My friend who is 18 years of age was at a house party that resulted in police interference. He was scared so rather than exiting the building, he hid under a car in the garage until a drug dog found him and started barking wildly. He got out from under the car and did not resist arrest. He was handcuffed and questioned. He was not under the influence whatsoever, and possessed no drugs. He cooperated with the police and was escorted home since a guardian was unavailable to pick him up. However, within a two day period, a police officer contacted him saying that he would have to go to court for the events that occurred on that night. What possible charge could a judge administer to him in the state of South Carolina?

Who knows? Your friend needs to hire an attorney and say nothing more to the police until he has an attorney.
You have not described anything that is illegal. Why not ask your friend? Surely when the police contacted him he said, "why?"
