car repossesion
I have a car that my son destroyed - He is now in rehab - I am seperating from my husband and since my son is no longer working I can not make payments - Will I have to go to jail if I can not pay for it

DId you NOT have insurance?
If not contact the lender. They may repo the vehicle and obtain salvage value. The balance of the loan will be due. You may be able to do partial payments.
Even if not, you could file BKY, or if you have no other income or assets, they would find it difficult to collect from you.
Regardless of the above, this is a CIVIL matter, not criminal.
