Bankruptcy vs Foreclosure

I have been served with foreclosure papers on my house. My house is joint wiht my husband. The problem is that I think that we make to much money to file bankruptcy. I make the lesser amount of money, therefore, is it possible for me to file bankruptcy only and allow the foreclosure to have a stay?
