if the party drawing up an agreement makes a mistake in a dollar amount, after the agreement is signed, can the drafting party claim that the agreement is invalid because of their mistake?

Any franchise attorney (or other attorney) will say it depends on a number of factors, including the amount of the mistake involved. For example, if you sell a million dollar home, both parties agree on the sales price, but you mistakenly insert $1 as the sales price, you may have a case.
