Legal Question in Business Law in South Carolina
I recently was asked to help out with a business where I would just use my PayPal account and the other party was going to handle the rest. I was told I'd receive 10% of the sales and for a while I did but soon I started getting PayPal claims saying the items were never shipped. Soon I was having to pay out of pocket to get refunds back to buyers and now there person I was helping isn't paying anything back to me. I am out over $8000 and I have all of the emails and documents from the beginning. Is there any chance of me getting my money back?

Any franchise attorney will say you need to contact a local attorney that specializes in business law. Did you have a written contract with this person? Even if you did not, oral contracts can be enforced. It is a question of how willing you are to proceed AND whether this person has sufficient assets that you can collect from. Consult with a good business attorney in your area for specific advice.
